Good News from JAMES FOWLER, DAVE MALONE, and PHIL HOWERTON

Rice University will be featuring the title poem from James Fowler's The Pain Trader in its alumni magazine next month.  Congratulations to Rice for being ranked in the top 15 universities in the country this year, and for recognizing and understanding our wonderfully understated Ozark poet.

And Dave Malone, author of You Know the Ones (GAP 2017) has another poetry collection, Tornado Drill, coming out from Kelsay Books/Aldrich Press soon.

In other news, Phil Howerton, who got his start as a Golden Antelope author six years ago, has gone on to publish an anthology of Ozark literature with the University of Arkansas Press and has had another anthology--of 21st century Ozark poetry--accepted by that same impressive press.  The forthcoming anthology includes poems by James Fowler and Craig Albin, another quietly precise GAP poet.  One more bit of news:  Phil Howerton and his wife Victoria have started up their own small indie press--Cornerpost Press.  We're enormously proud of them.

Congratulations to these wonderful poets.
