Larry Rogers, author of Live Free or Croak, has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize for his poem, "The Prisoner," which will appear in the forthcoming issue of Misfit Magazine. The poem is based on something he saw as a young soldier in Vietnam in 1968.
Rogers' whimsical, understated, yet deeply honest style catches what we call the Ozark aesthetic beautifully. He's begun working on a novella, to be titled Peach Baskets.
