Patricia Watts, author of The Frayer, is traveling back to Alaska in early March to do a series of readings and signings. These include:
March 1: A talk for the monthly gatherine of Alaska Professional Communicators--on the ups and downs of collaborating on writing a book. Patricia Watts and Stan Jones speak mainly on the upcoming publication of their book, The Big Empty. Signings and sales of books by both authors will follow the talk.
March 3: Book signing at Barnes & Noble in Anchorage from 6-9 p.m.
March 5: Patricia Watts debuts her noir suspense novel, The Frayer. Her presentation will foreground the technique of using an inanimate object--in this case an old building--as a character. She will talk about how the Fairbanks experience has shaped her writing. Reading and book signing are at the University of Alaska Anchorage bookstore.
March 7: "The Pitfalls and Triumphs of Co-writing a Book." Patricia Watts and Stan Jones discuss the upcoming publication of their mystery novel, The Big Empty, at the University of Alaska Anchorage bookstore. Book signings and sales of books by both authors follow the talk.
One other event in Anchorage is still in the planning stages: "Murderers Row: Readings by three Alaska mystery/suspense authors, Patricia Watts, Stan Jones, Keenan Powell," at The Writer’s Block Bookstore & Cafe. This is a brand new independent bookstore opening in Anchorage.
