Always the Wanderer is literary fiction and tells the stories of three people, James, Patrick, and Elizabeth, whose lives are all in flux. They do not know each other, but their stories are connected by their geographies, their emotions, and the uncertainties in their lives. This work may be referred to as a novel or a braided trilogy. All three stories, or braids, were written with one another in mind and the arrangement of the chapters was intentional. Always the Wanderer occupies an ambiguous space. James, Patrick, and Elizabeth are strangers to each other, and yet the reader can sense their commonalities.
